This site is a Weblog; it's essentially a chronologically-organized public journal where one can post writing, thoughts, links to other sites, etc. from just about any Internet-connected computer in the world. Weblogs epitomize the personal empowerment offered by the web- everyone can have a voice. Don't like what I'm posting to my home page? Start your own weblog and have at it!
The cheapest way is the Blogger/Blogspot combo, which is free though there'll be a banner ad on your blog. Open an account here.
If you've already got web space on a server somewhere, Blogger can run your weblog remotely via ftp, or MovableType (what I use) will do the job from your own server.
Another option is Weblogger, which will cost about $10/month.
And yet another option is Radio Userland ($40/year), which allows you to manage your blog from your desktop rather than through a remotely-managed system.
These days there's an abundance of blogging tools available, more are listed here. Pick one and dig in, there's no excuse not to!
If the setup process gets a bit technical for you, lemme know and I'll see if I can help."May all beings be happy."
